office or employment
The President and Vice-Presidents, and any former President or Vice-President, must not, directly or indirectly, hold any other public office or be employed by anyone else while they are in office or are receiving a pension from the State as former President or Vice-President, as the case may be.
PART 3
M INISTERS,D EPUTY M INISTERS AND CABINET
This provision aims to prevent conflicts of interest and ensure full dedication to leadership roles. By prohibiting the President, Vice-Presidents, and former holders of these offices from holding other public positions or employment while receiving state pensions, the constitution safeguards against divided loyalties and potential abuse of power or influence. This separation helps maintain the integrity of the highest offices in Zimbabwe.
